Since the last newsletter, a lot has taken place
for not keeping you informed. We are back on track and this
newsletter will bring you up-to-date!
Saturday Morning Services (Orthodox)
being held thru Labor Day

Kiddush and Fellowship to Follow
The Passover Seder held April 20th
was enjoyed by all, including
guests from the community who attended.
We are grateful for all the help with planning,
preparation and participation that was given
to make this event a success!
The Block-Babock 60th wedding vow renewal ceremony
was held in the sanctuary
officiated by our "Mock Rabbi" Barry Fidelman
and was well attended by family and local friends.
A reception followed in the main banquet hall that was enjoyed by all in attendance. Many Thanks to the Babock family for donations
and as always, their support.
"Bagels & Broadway II" Fund-raising event
was held on Sunday, July 3
as planned with our own lyric baritone Lou Price
(VP & Religious Affairs Chairman of
First Hebrew Congregation)
sang some of our favorite Broadway tunes (from shows such as
Oklahoma, Rent, Carousel, Man of LaMancha, Sweeny Todd,
Fiddler on the Roof and others)
with piano accompaniment by Matt Shabala.
The performance was wonderful and everyone who came
enjoyed a delicious buffet luncheon as well!
A Friday Shabbat service was conducted by
visiting Rabbi Ellen Weinberg Dreyfus,
Rabbi; B'nai Yehuda Beth Shalom in Homewood, IL
(Immediate past-president of the Reform Movement
Central Conference of American Rabbis)
a Conservative Rabbi, and her son-in-law.
