HAPPENINGS
JULY
2007
It has been a very busy July, with Independence Day festivities, families from out-of-town coming and going, and of course the Bagel & Lox A Cappella event, held Sunday the 15th, which was huge success! Debbie Ehrlich deserves the credit for her ideas and persevereance. Thanks to the participation of the following people, we fed 70 adults and 3 children, everyone who attended enjoyed the vocal performances by "Shircago" from Chicago who performed in Hebrew and English, before, during and after the brunch.
Debbie Zuckerman, made all the centerpieces and created the fliers and postcards. She and Arnie, Debbie and Steve Ehrlich came in at 9:00 P.M. on Friday night to set up the tables and chairs. Hy Warshawsky managed the clean-up crew. Shelly Warshawsky managed the door. Sue Price (our Chef maven), Karen Sutton (Steve Ehrlich's sister from N.Y), Min Pearce and Lou Price came in at 8 A.M. Sunday morning as the kitchen crew. Lou made up the beautiful lox platters. Norm Pearce was there to lend moral support. Al and Candi Green donated the bottled water. Eric Rothner donated a gorgeous Sterling Silver Kiddush Cup and saucer. (If I left anyone out please accept my apology.)
