Refusing to be Enemies
Using Dialog not Confrontation

You are invited to learn to practice dialog to resolve conflicts.
May 3, 6:00 pm at Lake Michigan College South Haven

Zeitouna (translates ‘olive’) is a group of women (six Jewish and six Arab) who meet to consider non-violent activism as a path to peaceful resolution in the context of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.  Their approach is personal and transferable.  You, too, can become an Ambassador for non-violent activism.  The group is featured in the film Refusing to be Enemies. A window into the lives of twelve people gives insight into how our personal histories, even our names, affect how we deal with the world.  Laurie White, author and producer of the film, will provide participants with concrete tools to help overcome fear, break down barriers, bridge divides, and engage the "other."
The High School Diversity Club and the Greater South Haven Diversity Coalition are partnering with Lake Michigan College to provide this dialog training program.
