On the 15th Josh Zuckerman gave a really nice slide show of his experiences in Israel and some useful information on conservation as a daily occurrence. I think everyone present enjoyed seeing “one of our own” coming up in the world. Refreshments were served.

On Sunday the 20th , immediately following our Board meeting, Rabbi Leilby Burnham from the Jewish Federation of Detroit gave a different version of Conservation through simple ways with a slide show and a question and answer forum, It got quiet lively at times. Barry cooked up a simple Luncheon of Blintzes, a fruit salad and a simple delicious cucumber salad. I thought everyone who attended had a great time.

Thank-You
The new Memorial Boards have been installed and look wonderful !
If you have been waiting to place a memorial name plaque, now is the time to order.
Two framed pieces from the Fidelman Estate were donated, showing how land was purchased to entice farming.
The kitchen is coming right along! The Slotnick brothers donated a beautiful stainless steel table that replaces an old wooden table.
Flatware was polished by Barry Fidelman who also found out that the monogram "RH" on dishes and silver stand for Roosevelt Hospital in Chicago (through the efforts of Don Horwitz, who was purchasing agent for the hospital).
Steve and Karyn Tolen have repainted kitchen cabinet fronts and bathrooms and everything now functions.
Kevin Cody helped in fixing the drawers in the kitchen.
The Mogen David window was seriously in need of repair and the limestone building face is in need of cleaning. Joyce Berman said she has a steam cleaner and has her boys to do it!
The next open board meeting will be July 18th at 10:00AM
